Build safer food operations. Prepare for independent certification.
SFI helps hospitality businesses navigate ISO certification, with an initial focus on ISO 22000 food safety management. SFI coordinates the process from your first enquiry and helps define the specialist support your business needs.
ISO 22000 for hospitality
Food safety depends on daily operations: how ingredients are received and stored, how food is prepared and served, and how teams monitor and respond to risks. ISO 22000 provides a framework for a food safety management system across these activities.
The aim is a practical system that supports safer food handling, clear responsibilities, consistent records and ongoing improvement.
Your route to readiness
- Discuss your property, food-service activities, locations and certification goals with SFI.
- Agree the scope, specialist support, responsibilities and quotation before work begins.
- Arrange a gap analysis and readiness review against the agreed requirements.
- Coordinate documentation and system development, staff awareness and training, internal-audit preparation and management-review support as needed.
- Plan the next steps towards an independent certification assessment and address findings through the agreed support arrangement.
How certification works
SFI is your first point of contact and coordinates support. Certification audits and certification decisions are undertaken by an independent certification body. Certification depends on meeting the applicable requirements and completing that body's assessment; it is not guaranteed by training or consultancy.
The proposed certification body, scope, fees and delivery responsibilities will be confirmed before you proceed. Timing depends on your starting point, implementation progress, assessment availability and any corrective actions required. Certification supports a management system; it does not replace your business's food-safety or regulatory responsibilities.
Start with your business
Tell us your business type, location, number of sites, current food-safety arrangements and target timeline. SFI will help identify a suitable next step. For another ISO standard, ask us to confirm availability and scope.
