Ayub Kato, the Managing Partner at Smiling Faces International (SFI) is a prolific, dynamic, motivating and result driven expert, who kicked off his career as a Security Guard at Sheraton Kampala Hotel Uganda however he has displayed great passion for service and hard work over the last 20 years as he progressed and rose up the ranks to attain General Manager with Marriot, Hilton, Intercontinental Hotels management experience in the Hotels, Travel & Hospitality industry in the USA plus IT , contact center, Managed Network Services, Network Operations Centres (NOC) services and as a Training expert and coach.
Ayub Kato attended St Agnes Primary School Entebbe for his primary, Kiira College Butiiki in Jinja for his Secondary school graduating from Makerere University, Kenya Utalii College and American Hospitality Academy, Mr. Kato crossed over to the ICT industry and now manages over 1000 staff and consultants worldwide and has held account management positions for projects with the USA Department of State, Shell Oil/HP Technical Outsourcing, Jhpiego, Google as a subsidiary and the United Nations.

This great personality has been part of over 25 startup projects in account management, transition management and program /Project management positions. He also coordinated projects in USA, Togo, China, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, DRC, Sierra Leone, Kenya, South Sudan, Gambia, Malawi, Lesotho, South Africa and Rwanda. He consulted as the project manager for computer frontiers on the Google fiber project in Uganda and Ghana from 2011 to 2017 during which he was in charge of roll out, HR, Admin, budgeting, training, new markets expansion and he is well travelled internationally.

Ayub as he is fondly called is also consulting as African Regional Manager for Computer Frontiers on various projects across the world and he currently leads the team that successfully deployed the e-Visa service and call Centre services for the kingdom of Lesotho.

Ayub is passionate about customer service, service delivery and modern technology tools that improve customer relationships and interactions. Ayub passionately works with organizations and Government departments interested in improving service delivery and those that give a wowing service and products to their clients. He is a seasoned trainer and coach in Customer Service, Call centers, Hotels& Hospitality, Country border and Travel Visa applicant systems and applications, Service Delivery, Leadership, Human Resource and eloquent motivation and public speaker.

Ayub is a Board member for the American Chamber of commerce (Amcharm), A member of the Uganda Business Process Association (UBPOA) A Board member of The Association of Technology and Information Services (ATIS), A member of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU), A member of the Uganda Marketing Society (UMS), A member of Africa Travel Association (ATA) and a member of the Cooperate Council on Africa (CCA). SFI is an affiliate of the American International Certification Institute (AICI).
